My Story

Oh lord! Where to begin? :D

My 22 years creative journey was pretty long. I studied Industrial Design in Rome, earned my degree, transitioned to graphic design, then digital exploded, became a creative director, a digital creative director then an executive creative director, and eventually, even Vice President at Expo 2020 :D. Just reading this still makes me laugh.

I felt my career arc was complete. I couldn't aspire to or ask for anything more from my experiences—awards, winning massive pitches, and helping younglings find their place on the global creative stage. I couldn’t be more grateful for what life has given me. This is why, after more than 22 years serving "Lord Vader Marketing", I decided to join the resistance. I left my 9 to 5 agency job, hopped on a plane to Costa Rica, and chose to live off love and creativity forever as a freelancer.

At the age of 47, I finally decided to only tell the stories I liked and believed were cool. That’s why, together with another pirate like me, I founded Hello Papaya, a creative collective that rescues clients with outstanding, out-of-the-box ideas for their communication. We also launched Unicorn Maker Studio, a branch of Hello Papaya that focuses solely on startups. I truly love ideas and innovation; what better way to be involved than helping the unicorns of tomorrow?

Another project I'm leading at the moment is eightyverse, a wild action figure production venture that dives into the nostalgia of the 80s. I make all the models—each figurine is 3D printed and hand-painted by me, one by one :D. It’s been my side project that helped maintain my sanity during the pandemic.

What else to say? I'm labeled a boomer/generation X, whatever, which I consider lucky. I'm part of the last generation that knew what a cassette or a VHS was, the last to answer the phone at home and only at certain times of the day :D. This allows me to have a healthier relationship with technology, knowing there's an amazing life beyond it.

Two big dreams remain in my drawer: creating a board game and launching an indie video game company.

So, I don’t think it's too late...stay tuned.
